About Don

Before I was a Yoga teacher, I was a Yoga student. I started my practice with a clear intention that my

journey to the mat would be a fleeting thing–something that I would quickly and enthusiastically abandon.

But it didn’t work out that way.

From the beginning, there was something about my Yoga experience that was completely compelling,

even transformational. And while I may have initially thought I was too inflexible, or maybe too old to

seriously consider something so profoundly new and different, I instead became quite obsessed.

After completing my first Yoga teacher training, I turned my attention to the Loyola Marymount University

Yoga Studies programs and completed the Yoga Therapy YTRx-800 certification, as well as certifications

in Vinyasa Krama Yoga and Prime of Life Yoga™. I also completed a Yoga therapy clinical practicum and am

now an IAYT-certified Yoga therapist.

As a Yoga teacher and a therapist, I am particularly drawn to the hugely under-served population of

adults who tend to be intimidated by Yoga classes and stay away because they feel like they don’t fit

in—for whatever reason. My goal is to create an environment where everyone feels comfortable, safe,

and free to discover all that Yoga has to offer.

My advice to potential students is simple: You don’t have to make Yoga a way of life—but, if you are

willing to make it a part of life, you can experience some amazing transformations.
